Saturday afternoon and a group of martial artists from varying disciplines gather for a seminar from Cardiff's Sensei Martyn Harris. Included in the throng were Shihan Robin Whale, Sensei Anthony Woods and sempai Kevin Sigh from Sandokai.

Hosted by David Cooke at Polkyth Leisure Centre in St. Austell, the fours hours whizzed by.



Sensei Harris explained the basics of seizing and striking pressure points, combing them with other techniques such as locks and chokes.

A very relaxed and fun session, a lot of information (and pain) was shared. The majority of the techniques were very simple with an effectiveness that belied their simplicity. The lightest taps in specific points had your partner buckling at the knees if you weren't very careful.

Apart from the pressure point work it was a chance to make some new friends and renew contact with old ones ... while making them squeal in pain!

A great day all round hopefully to be repeated at a later date.
