Sunshine, Ice Cream and Karate. Who could ask
for more?
Midday at the village of Carharrack and a dozen
Sandokai Karateka (mainly from the Devoran dojo)
gathered at the Carharrack Annual Fete.
Prominently displayed was the Sandokai trailer, the contents of which were used to set up a matted area of 6 square meters. Sempai Jamie Wharram provided the commentary as the students put on a display of Kihon, Kata and Kumite.
Though the event wasn't that well attended, we did draw a fair sized crowd of onlookers and handed out a bunch of leaflets afterwards.
Sensei Long treated everyone involved with the demo to an ice cream afterwards.
A bit of fun and a chance to spread the word for all the Sandokai clubs, it was well worth the effort.
