Two days work, and still wanting
more
Hanshi Terry Wingrove (9th Dan) held two days of
seminars in St Just and Penzance over the weekend of
the 17th and 18th of April. Sandokai was represented
by Shihan Robin Whale, Sempai Kevin Eddy and Kevin
Singh.
Some familiar territory was covered with a selection of nerve pinches, and those who had trained with him before were taken into some new and advanced territory. New targets and disruption of balance were covered with many anecdotes and historical gems of information.
The Saturday course passed all too quickly, but there was the opportunity of Laser Tag afterwards and a meal in Penzance which provided an avenue for in depth discussion of some of the more esoteric aspects of the martial arts.
The Sunday followed on from the previous days work, with some even more painful atemi and pressure work. Combined techniques and a variety of targets were examined and tested, with painful and effective results.
All agreed it was a good weekend.
