Sandokai Karate Competition - 2008 -
Results.
The 2008 Sandokai Karate Annual Competition was held
on Saturday September 20th. We had competition from
glorious sunny weather and a number of football
fixtures, but the hard core of Sandokai wouldn’t let
anything else get in the way of one of our main
annual events!
The Devoran Dojo did us proud with separate changing areas and very reasonably priced refreshments supplied by Thelma (all proceeds from the sale of refreshments were split between Cat Rescue and Devoran Village Hall).
Every Sandokai dojo was represented, and the day passed without injury or incident. Results as follows:-
Children's Kata Jnr. Grade
1st Thomas Agnew Camborne; 2nd Taylor Vercoe Camborne; 3rd George Sowerby Devoran.
Childrens Kata Snr. Grade

Special thanks go to Shihan Robin Whale, Sensei Terry Boughton, Sensei Alex Blamey, Sensei Anthony Woods, Sempai Josh Hughes, Sempai Richard Collett and Sempai Jamie Wharram who took on the onerous duties of Refereeing, Judging and Timekeeping/Scoring.
Thanks also go to Sempai Jamie Wharram’s family for very kindly letting us use their property for parking.
Most of all, a big vote of thanks must go to Sensei Fran Long and her partner Reuben who’s tireless efforts before, during and after the event made it the success it was.
Everyone who took part will receive a certificate, and the trophies for the day will be awarded at the Sandokai Christmas Party in December.
